Farmers urged to prepare for October-December short rains

The Kenya Meteorological Service Authority has advised farmers to get their farms and supplies ready for the upcoming October to December short-rains season. KMSA stated that the country is nearing the short-rains season as the October–December (OND) period approaches. According to their latest forecast, certain regions such as Lamu, Kilifi, Tana River, Mombasa, Kwale, Narok, and Bomet Counties are anticipated to receive rainfall during this period.

However, the majority of the nation will continue to be dry this week, as per the weather department's report. While the majority of the country is expected to stay generally dry this week, KMSA warned flood-prone areas to stay vigilant and maintain clear drainage channels.
