EPL: Gyokeres angry after being told to leave Arsenal

Piers Morgan, a renowned broadcaster and football pundit, has revealed that Viktor Gyokeres feels disrespected and benched at Arsenal after his summer transfer from the club. The Swedish international joined Arsenal in the summer of 2025 for £64 million and made his debut of the new season as a late substitute in Sunday’s victory against Chelsea.

However, Gyokeres missed the first two matches of the season, leading Morgan to claim that he was intentionally kept out of games in an attempt to force his departure from the club. Arsenal's interest in signing Julian Alvarez caught Morgan's attention, who claimed to know through "good authority" that the club aimed to sell Gyokeres for a potential deal with Atletico Madrid.

Yet, Alvarez had doubts about returning to the Premier League and opted for a move to Barcelona instead, a choice Atletico Madrid rejected. As a result, Gyokeres remains at the Emirates Stadium, uncertain about his future and likely facing limited playing time. Morgan stated that Gyokeres is undoubtedly upset about his treatment and feels disrespected, which many Arsenal supporters might appreciate, highlighting Mikel Arteta's ruthless nature.

Furthermore, Morgan believes Arsenal is planning to re-enter the market for a new striker in January, with the intention of pursuing a different player during the January transfer window.
