Dubai's JVC District 16 to introduce paid on-street parking from October 15

From October 15, on-street parking in Dubai's Jumeirah Village Circle District 16 will require payment, according to private parking firm Parkonic. Hourly rates will apply during peak hours, with rates set at Dh4 from 8am to 5pm, and Dh6 from 5pm to midnight. Free parking will be available outside of these peak hours, from midnight to 8am, every day, including weekends and public holidays.

Parkonic is offering residents of Zone P117 membership packages, allowing them to park without paying hourly fees, based on the terms of the membership. Membership costs include Dh672 per month, Dh1,999 quarterly, Dh3,999 for six months, and Dh4,999 annually. Residents must complete registration and activation before using the facility; otherwise, standard parking charges will apply.

Payment can be made via text message following on-site instructions; otherwise, the parking fee will automatically be deducted from the vehicle's Salik account upon the vehicle exiting the parking area. Cash, parking machines, and QR payments are not available at this location, as stated by Parkonic. To register for parking, tenants can apply through the Parkonic+ app before October 13.

They must submit their title deed, Ejari, and lease agreement for Parkonic to verify and approve their applications. Each eligible property receives two resident parking allocations, but only two can be used at the same time by multiple vehicles. The membership is valid only for the tenancy period, and residents must complete registration and activation after receiving an authorized PIN by email from Parkonic.

Parkonic's on-street parking system is ticketless, using the vehicle's number plate as its digital parking record.
