Dubai boxing victory fuels Trisha Ooi's dreams

Six years after joining the entertainment industry as a stunt performer, actress Trisha Ooi has finally accomplished her long-standing goals. Now 27 years old, her full name is Reyshqa Aqiera Mohd Nasron Ooi. She successfully shifted gears from stunt work to more character-driven, dramatic roles and antagonists, demonstrating her versatility while maintaining a clean image in the industry.

Her hard work paid off at the 33rd Malaysia Film Festival where she was awarded Most Promising Actress for her debut role in Janna Endoro. Offers for acting gigs have been flowing in. Her latest project, Keluang Man The Series, recently wrapped up filming. In the show, she plays a new character and expressed immense gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate with seasoned artists such as Nas-T, Azhar Sulaiman, and Rusdi Ramli.

Trisha's talents extend beyond the screen. She gained recognition after competing in the international All Star Championship: Dubai Edition at Round 10 Boxing Club, where she won the flyweight category by defeating Indonesian contender Dinda Anwar, bringing the championship belt back to Malaysia. Her passion for martial arts fueled her involvement in boxing, which required months of training, sacrifice, discipline, tears, and numerous challenges.

However, her main priority remains her acting career, alongside a desire to one day take on directing roles. "My primary focus remains my acting career. I hold a deep desire to elevate Malaysia's profile through my work in film," Trisha expressed. "If given the chance to represent Malaysia internationally through film, I would jump at it. That is my ultimate goal."
