The move comes as President Trump has threatened to block imports from Quebec's Bombardier unless it builds its aircraft in the U.S. and has criticized Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney as a "governor." The tariffs encompass a range of American dairy products, wood materials, steel, aluminum, and beauty products. Prime Minister Carney's administration has taken steps to build more domestically and diversify trade partners amid the global trade tensions.
