CIB Ghana launches 2026 edition of The Ghanaian Banker Magazine

The Chartered Institute of Bankers, Ghana (CIB Ghana) has launched the 2026 edition of its flagship publication, The Ghanaian Banker Magazine. The launch event took place at Alisa Hotel, North Ridge, on 21st August 2026, attracting bank chief executives, council members, and officials of the Bank of Ghana.

CEO of CIB Ghana, Mr. Robert Dzato, FCIB, described the magazine as one of the most comprehensive yet produced by the Institute, covering the current state and future trajectory of the Ghanaian banking industry. The 2026 edition features messages from outgoing and incoming Institute Presidents, a perspective on the future of banking from the Bank of Ghana’s Second Deputy Governor, and a leadership interview with a former Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) Managing Director.

The magazine also includes an economic outlook, comparative performance reviews of banks, and reflections on CIB Ghana’s history and its role in developing professional banking professionals. Mrs. Matilda Asante-Asiedu, a member of the first CBEL cohort, highlighted the institute’s commitment to professional development and the importance of a trusted banking sector based on integrity, professionalism, and responsible conduct. She called for continued investment in initiatives to raise industry standards.

CIB Ghana plans to make the Ghanaian Banker Magazine an annual publication, inviting members, bank executives, and industry stakeholders to contribute perspectives in future editions. The Institute also aims to host the 2028 World Conference of Banking Institutes, which will be further detailed later.
