Child dead, six more injured following vehicle rollover

A tragic incident occurred near Melbourne when a vehicle rolled over at an intersection, resulting in the death of a school-aged child and leaving six others injured. Despite receiving CPR, the young victim succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Emergency services responded to the scene just before 4pm on Tuesday. A critically injured child was airlifted to a hospital, while five other children sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were also transported to the hospital. Additionally, a woman was taken to the hospital for observation.

The crash took place near the Nerowie and Parwan-Exford roads intersection in Parwan, west of Melbourne. Specialist ambulance resources, including two helicopter crews, two mobile intensive care ambulance paramedic crews, and five advanced life support paramedic crews, were stationed at the scene into the evening. Their primary focus was on providing medical assistance to the affected individuals.

Following the crash, investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
