In the latest installment of a series examining how Romanian companies appear to artificial intelligence, researchers tested the ability of AI agents to locate, evaluate, and select Romanian businesses without human intervention. Using the Exista.io framework, they measured the Agent Discovery Optimization (ADO) Score, a metric ranging from 0 to 100.

The study found that none of the 130 domains examined served either /.well-known/agent-card.json or /.well-known/agent.json, indicating a lack of visibility for AI agents. The mean ADO Score was 17 out of 100, with the maximum score being 35. None of the domains achieved a score above 40, suggesting that most companies are currently invisible to AI agents.

The study also noted that the main factors contributing to a domain's ADO Score were trust signals, such as JSON-LD and sitemap freshness, which accounted for an average of 12 points. Only one domain, snsys.ro, had manually written agent visibility materials. The agencies selling AI visibility scored slightly higher than their clients, but their success was primarily due to llms.txt and JSON-LD rather than strategic visibility.

The study emphasized that most companies will likely score near zero, not due to weaknesses but because the necessary visibility artefacts are not yet standard practice.
