BREAKING: Chaos in Benue as suspected thugs attack Peter Obi’s convoy [VIDEO]

Chaos erupted in Benue State on Tuesday when suspected thugs allegedly obstructed a major road as the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, Peter Obi, made his arrival in the state. This development was reported by Obi's media aide, Esther Umoh, who posted a video on her X handle depicting the blocked route.

According to Umoh, the incident took place shortly after Obi and his entourage entered Benue State. She wrote, "We have just arrived in Benue State, where alleged sponsored thugs have blocked Boko Road by the Air Force Base, attempting to prevent Peter Obi from gaining access into the state."

A separate video shared by Umoh showed individuals running after vehicles in the convoy, which Umoh alleged was an attempt to attack the entourage. However, it remained unclear who the individuals were and what triggered the incident. As of the time of this report, neither the Benue State Government nor the police had officially commented on the allegation.
