Brandon Moreno enters first Noche UFC 'super focused on the present' after tough losses

Brandon Moreno, Mexico's first homegrown UFC champion, will make his debut at the first Noche UFC event next Saturday, Sept. 12. After being unable to compete in the last three Noche UFC events due to various reasons, Moreno is now focused on his present and eager to prove himself. He will face Joseph Morales in the event's co-headliner.

Moreno, who was released from the UFC and returned for a second stint, expressed his excitement for the opportunity, stating, "To be honest, I was just ready to fight at Noche, you know? And I talked with my manager, and I talked with the UFC like, 'Hey, just offer me a fight. I don't care who, and I'll be ready.'" Both Moreno and Morales have had similar experiences, as they were both released from the UFC and had to fight their way back into the sport.

Morales, in particular, has been extremely motivated, winning his last two fights and coming off a clean record of 3-2 in the UFC.

Despite Moreno's recent losses to Tatsuro Taira and Lone er Kavanagh, he remains unfazed and focused on winning his upcoming fight. He remains confident in his training and current form, saying, "I just want to win, brother. I'm fighting because I still feel super good at the gym, feel super good in my practices, my sparring looks super sharp." Moreno acknowledges that recent fights have resulted in a three-fight losing streak, but he remains committed to his passion and the present moment.
