4 charged after armed home invasion in Richmond Hill, 5th suspect still wanted by police

York Regional Police have charged four individuals in connection with an armed home invasion in Richmond Hill, with a fifth suspect still at large. Emergency crews were called to Josie Drive near Yonge Street and Weldrick Road West around 7 a.m. on Sunday following reports of at least one weapon being seen. The homeowners, a family of four, were not injured.

Multiple suspects allegedly forced their way into the home, assaulting one occupant before fleeing in a black Cadillac Escalade. The vehicle was later stopped on Highway 401 in Cobourg, with a female driver arrested. Three other suspects were also taken into custody. Prosecutors allege Georges-Junior Saint-Elien from Terrebonne, Que., was charged with robbery with a firearm and disguise with intent, while Christopher Fils-Aime was charged with robbery with a firearm, firearms offenses, probation breach, assault causing bodily harm, obstruction of justice, prohibited possession of ammunition and cocaine possession for trafficking.

Ivy Hewes and Justin Johnson were charged with accessory after the fact to robbery with a firearm. Police are still searching for an unidentified fifth suspect.
