‘We don’t need it’ – Pastor Ibiyeomie rejects Yahoo boys’ offerings in church

The founder of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, has issued a stern warning to Yahoo boys attending his church, urging them to refrain from offering their earnings within the church premises. In a recent sermon, the pastor expressed his disdain for internet fraud and the individuals who continue to engage in this criminal activity despite being members of the congregation.

Ibiyeomie highlighted that some Yahoo boys are actively involved in church activities and seem content with the illicit wealth they generate by defrauding others. He lamented, "Do you know that there are Yahoo boys inside church? They have no conscience; they are yahooing somebody, and they are very happy in church."

The pastor further defined Yahoo as a form of theft, emphasizing that anyone who takes what does not belong to them is committing an act of theft. Regardless of how fraudsters attempt to justify their actions, Pastor Ibiyeomie maintained that it is still stealing. As a consequence of his stance, he explicitly instructed Yahoo boys within his church to transfer their offerings to other places of worship.

"In this church, if you’re a Yahoo, you will go to another church and give your offering. I don’t care how much you have," he stated emphatically.

To illustrate the dire consequences of engaging in internet fraud, the pastor recounted a tragic case where a professor from Rivers State University lost his savings to fraudsters. The victim subsequently fell gravely ill and tragically passed away. Ibiyeomie fervently urged those associated with internet fraudsters to sever ties with them and warned the congregation about the destructive impact of supporting such a harmful practice.
