UAE traffic alert: E311 delays hit Sharjah-Dubai commuters

Motorists traveling between Sharjah and Dubai are currently experiencing significant delays, according to real-time traffic data from Google Maps. The primary issue is congested on Emirates Road (E311), with particularly slow traffic around Sharjah Industrial Area 6 and Saif Zone, extending towards the S117, S121, and S112 interchanges.

Additional congestion is reported on S116 near Hay Al Badee and near the 06 Mall and University City Clock Tower Roundabout. Al Khan and Sahara Centre near Al Mamzar are also experiencing traffic issues.

Other incidents are contributing to the overall traffic slowdown on major roads. Sheikh Zayed Road near Zabeel Park and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road in Ras Al Khor Industrial Third are both experiencing delays. A crash on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road in Al Qusais Industrial Fifth is also causing tailbacks. Motorists are advised to add extra time to their journeys and check traffic conditions before departing.

Alternative routes are available for those traveling between Dubai and northern Sharjah or Ajman, with E611 being suggested as an option over E311, depending on one's destination. Traffic conditions appear to be improving on several other roads in Dubai, including parts of E11 through Jumeirah, Business Bay, and Dubai Design District. However, due to the rapid changes in traffic conditions during the morning rush hour, motorists are strongly encouraged to check live navigation updates before embarking on their journeys.
