The story of Canada’s 'only union-built town'
Founded on Newfoundland's Bonavista Peninsula more than a century ago, Port Union is called Canada’s only union-built town. It was the brainchild of union organizer William F. Coaker, who wanted to help fishers get better working and living conditions.
