Simu Liu, Charithra Chandran and Shameik Moore join John Cena at Abu Dhabi Comic Con

Three more prominent stars will join the lineup for the Middle East Film and Comic Con (MEFCC) in Abu Dhabi this September, expanding the event's already impressive roster. Simu Liu, Charithra Chandran, and Shameik Moore are set to appear at the convention, joining John Cena, Mackenyu and Jacob Romero, Pom Klementieff, Arden Cho, and Joonas Suotamo.

Liu gained fame for his role as Shang-Chi in Marvel's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, while Chandran rose to prominence playing Edwina Sharma in Bridgerton. Moore is known as the voice of Miles Morales in the Spider-Verse films. All three stars will attend the three-day convention. Mackenyu and Romero play Roronoa Zoro and Usopp in the live-action One Piece adaptation, while Klementieff is recognized for her role as Mantis in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Arden Cho voices Rumi in KPop Demon Hunters, and Suotamo has portrayed Chewbacca in various Star Wars films. MEFCC, which originally began in April due to regional conflicts, is now set to return for its 14th edition, with the shift in dates allowing for additional programming and guest selections. Show director Loy Pinheiro emphasizes the convention's growth stems from the communities attending, celebrating their passions without limits.

The event now offers diverse entertainment options, including Artist Alley, Otaku District, TCG Arena, Bookworm Lounge, and Collector's Gallery. Fan feedback has influenced the addition of these features, reflecting the evolving pop culture landscape in the Middle East. Anime, gaming, and trading card games have seen significant growth, catering to a broader range of interests.

The convention also features an Artist Alley, providing a platform for independent creators, and a Short Film Competition. Ticket prices start at Dh160.
