Revanth calls for Left-Congress unity against Modi

Chief Minister A.Revanth Reddy accused the proposed Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls of being utilized to systematically remove anti-BJP votes, urging the Communist parties to unite with the Congress to combat such illicit activities. At a memorial service in Hyderabad for Communist leader and farmer's advocate Sarampalli Malla Reddy, the Chief Minister alleged that the BJP was emulating its West Bengal tactic in Telangana by targeting and eliminating anti-BJP voters at polling stations.

He claimed a conspiracy to delete one crore votes in Telangana and accused private agencies of conducting surveys to identify voters. SCs, STs and minorities were identified as primary targets, he asserted. Calling on the Left parties to back the Congress in its battle against "vote theft," the Chief Minister emphasized that triumphing over Mr. Modi would also signify a victory for the Communists.

"We must stand united and oppose Modi across the nation. Elections and the fundamental rights of the poor are distinct issues," he stated. The Communist parties had a rich history of advocating for the rights of the underprivileged, he noted, highlighting the Red Flag's role in instilling confidence and assurance in the weaker sections.

Remembering Malla Reddy, the Chief Minister mourned the loss of the veteran leader who had risen from a remote area to the national arena, dedicating his life to farmers' welfare. His demise was described as an "irreparable loss" to the farming community, praising Malla Reddy's profound understanding of agricultural matters and his eloquent articulation of these issues.
