'Reckless, Irresponsible': Aviation Firm Slams Nora Fatehi, Sues Her For ₹3 Crore Over 'Lego Airplane' Remark

In a legal dispute that has garnered attention, aviation company Dunes Aviation has filed a Rs 3 crore defamation suit against Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi at a Gandhinagar court. The lawsuit centers around comments Nora allegedly made about one of the company's chartered aircraft on social media. According to the complaint, the actress referred to the aircraft as a miniature, toy, and Lego airplane during a Mumbai-Jaipur flight in December last year.

Dunes Aviation claims that these comments damaged the company's reputation and negatively impacted its business.

The company asserts that Nora's remarks reached a wide audience due to her substantial social media following, estimated at over 4.6 crore followers. As a result, the suit alleges that bookings for the company's flights dropped by 15-20 percent and cancellations increased. Dunes Aviation further contends that the comments caused serious reputational damage, loss of goodwill, and adverse commercial impact.

In response to the allegations, Nora Fatehi's legal team is preparing to defend her against the accusations. The actress maintains that her comments were made without any technical knowledge, verification, or factual basis, and that they were intended to be a lighthearted observation about the aircraft. Meanwhile, Dunes Aviation seeks Rs 3 crore in damages and has requested the court to order Nora to remove social media posts and other online content containing the alleged remarks or references to the aircraft. The matter is set to be heard by senior civil judge R Agarwal on September 25.
