Punjab Launches Action Against Schools With 0% Class 9th Results

The Punjab School Education Department has announced plans to take disciplinary action against heads of government schools that achieved zero percent results in the ninth-grade annual examinations. The department is also seeking detailed information on schools across the province with zero percent results. In the Rawalpindi Board's examinations, 184 schools, including 81 government schools, recorded zero percent results.

Rawalpindi had the highest number of such schools, with 91, followed by Attock with 35 and Chakwal with 26. Jhelum, Murree, and Talagang also had schools with zero percent results. The department plans to issue show-cause notices to the heads of these schools and may take departmental action. Officials will also identify institutions and officers with a history of poor academic performance. The goal is to hold accountable those responsible for the weak educational results.
