Photos: Ato Forson thanks constituents for 18 years of support

Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, the Finance Minister and Member of Parliament for Ajumako Enyan Essiam, expressed heartfelt thanks to his constituents for their unwavering support over the course of his 18-year tenure in Parliament. At the Enyan Abaasa Akwambo Festival durbar, Forson acknowledged the trust placed in him by the people of Enyan Abaasa, who have remained steadfast in their faith as he juggled his parliamentary obligations with his role as Finance Minister.

"Every time I come home, my heart is full of love," he remarked. "I came, first and foremost, to thank the people of Enyan Abaasa for your understanding and for trusting me to serve you all these years."

The Finance Minister acknowledged the increased difficulty in visiting the constituency as frequently as before due to his responsibilities. However, he found solace in the guidance of Osagyefo Kwamena Akonu, the Paramount Chief of the Enyan Abaasa Traditional Area. The chief advised Forson to prioritize his duties, representing the constituency effectively and steering clear of wrongdoing. Chief Akonu assured him that the people at home would be well cared for while he was away.

Upon his return, Forson observed firsthand that his constituents were indeed in good hands. "Nana, you advised me to concentrate on the job, knowing that our people were in your care. Since my return, I have seen for myself that all is indeed well," he stated.
