Pakistan cricket chaos deepens: Disciplinary inquiry launched after recall of 7 players

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has launched a disciplinary inquiry following the recall of seven players from the England tour, according to media reports. The inquiry is currently under review by the board, though the specific nature of the disciplinary issue has not been disclosed. Pakistan lost both Tests against England, with the first Test ending in an innings and 103 run victory for England and the second Test concluding by 194 runs at Lord’s.

With only one Test remaining on the tour, the PCB took swift action, sending home head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed, assistant coach Umar Gul, and Pakistan's white-ball coach Mike Hesson, who was replaced by Ashley Noffke and former Australia seamer Ashley Noffke. Players Salman Agha, Muhammad Rizwan, Imam-ul-Haq, Ali Usman, Khurram Shahzad, Aamir Jamal and Muhammad Awais Jafar were also recalled, even though they did not play any matches during the tour.

The PCB maintains that all individuals involved will be given due consideration during the inquiry process, adhering to standard procedures and regulations.
