North West Headlines First Chicago Solo Show With Ye and Kim Kardashian Cheering Her On

North West made her mark as a solo headliner in Chicago, marking her first solo performance alongside her parents. On September 5, the 13-year-old rapper took the stage at The Vic Theatre in the Lakeview neighborhood, with her parents Ye and Kim Kardashian cheering her on from opposite ends of the audience. The performance occurred just a month after North's debut headlining tour with Molly Santana was canceled.

Footage from the Chicago concert showed Kardashian and Ye arriving separately, with the SKIMS founder taking a seat in the VIP section, while the superstar rapper enjoyed the performance from a balcony section. Both shared clips from the theater on their respective Instagram Stories, with Ye captioning a video as "SO PROUD."

North also shared various clips from the concert and expressed her gratitude to her fans for their unwavering support. She thanked them for showing love in her Instagram Stories, emphasizing, "This is what I'm meant to do."

The solo headlining show was a celebration of North's debut EP, N0rth4evr, which dropped in early May. Previously, North had made waves in the music industry, featuring on Ye and Ty Dolla $ign's Vultures and FKA twigs' EUSEXUA albums. She released her single "Piercing on My Hand" in February and made an appearance at Ye's shows at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles in April.

Earlier in the week, Ye returned to Chicago for a two-night homecoming at Soldier Field on September 3-4. During these performances, he brought out numerous guests and reminisced on every era of his career, from The College Dropout to 2026's Bully.
