More Android apps could soon save you from sending accidental nudes

Google is reportedly working on integrating its on-device Sensitive Content Warning system into the native Android Photo Picker, according to a recent report. This feature, powered by Android System SafetyCore, is designed to classify media on-device without sharing any data with Google. The system would allow third-party apps to warn users when they attempt to select explicit content, such as nudity. The feature may prove particularly useful in preventing underage users from sharing explicit content.

Google has been making significant strides in enhancing the system-level Photo Picker experience on Android, with several features currently in progress, including a built-in media editor and a location data toggle that certain apps have already started adopting. The new Sensitive Content Warning system is expected to be one of the latest enhancements to this feature set.
