Missing hiking family in Kelantan mountains never stayed out more than a day, says grandpa — now it’s been four, maybe without food

Seven-year-old Diya Raisha, nine-year-old Ahmad Raef, and their parents are feared missing after a failed hiking expedition in Kelantan's forest. The family disappeared on September 1 and has not been heard from since, with their last message to relatives indicating they were safe and expected to reach Pos Kemar in Perak a day later.

Concerns arise that the group may be running out of food, as their supplies were only expected to last six to seven days. The family of six, including two guides, failed to return as scheduled and search efforts are underway. Wan Zairudin, 66, expressed worry that someone may have been injured during the four-day ordeal, stating his son and daughter-in-law often hiked but never exceeded a single day in the forest.
