Mason Pickett-Hicks rushes for 210 yards and 2 TDs to lead South Carolina State by Florida A&M 31-13

Mason Pickett-Hicks delivered an impressive performance, rushing for 210 yards and two touchdowns to lead South Carolina State to a 31-13 victory over Florida A&M in the Orange Blossom Classic. The game resumed after a lightning delay in the first quarter, and Pickett-Hicks immediately showcased his prowess by racing for a 58-yard touchdown.

His second touchdown came early in the third quarter, extending South Carolina State's lead to 28-6. The Gamecocks outgained Florida A&M 479-161, with 292 yards on the ground. Pickett-Hicks, who carried the ball just 17 times for an average of 12.4 yards, also marked South Carolina State's first 200-yard rushing game since Jawarn Howell's 283 against Howard in 2023.

Keely Watson threw for 168 yards and two interceptions for South Carolina State (2-0), while Isaiah Knowles and Dustin Fletcher combined for 162 passing yards for Florida A&M (1-1). South Carolina State will return home to face Virginia State next Saturday.
