Maharashtra Recruitment Exam Reform Task Force To Visit Six Divisions, Seek Feedback From Aspirants

Mumbai: A high-level task force, established by the Maharashtra government on September 4, 2026, will embark on a statewide mission to reform recruitment examination processes. The task force aims to enhance security, transparency, reliability, and candidate-friendliness of these exams. The panel will conduct consultations across all six divisions of the state, engaging with students, competitive exam aspirants, parents, teachers, educational institutions, and other stakeholders to gather insights and recommendations.

The consultation process begins on September 12 in Pune, at Savitribai Phule Pune University. Subsequent visits are scheduled for Nagpur on September 16, Amravati on September 17, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on September 21, Konkan in Mumbai on September 29, and Nashik on September 30. Citizens and stakeholders unable to attend in person can submit their feedback through designated email addresses for each division.

The task force's recommendations are expected to address malpractices in recruitment exams, bolster examination security, improve transparency and credibility in the process, and make the overall examination system more favorable for candidates. This initiative is part of the Maharashtra government's broader effort to comprehensively review the state's recruitment examination mechanism and identify necessary reforms.
