Lazio fight back at Udinese to stay perfect in Serie A

Rome witnessed Lazio battling back in the second half to secure a 2-1 victory over Udinese on Monday, maintaining their perfect record in Serie A. The Italian side joined Roma and Inter Milan as the only teams to have an unblemished three-game record. Lazio, who began their season with two 1-0 victories, now sit third in the league table on goal difference.

Four minutes into the second half, Swedish midfielder Jesper Karlstrom became the first player to find the back of the net against Lazio this season. The English centre forward Keinan Davis expertly backheeled the ball, creating an opportunity for the Danish player to exploit the defensive space behind. Karlstrom displayed his skill with an elaborate delayed back lift and managed to shoot the ball past the legs of Lazio's goalkeeper Christos Mandas.

Lazio had already established their dominance in the match, with Davide Frattesi scoring twice in their first two games. After 75 minutes, Frattesi added his third goal of the season. Meanwhile, Albert Gudmundsson replaced Frattesi in the 80th minute, as Gennaro Gattuso sought to diversify Lazio's attacking options. Gudmundsson continued Lazio's impressive offensive display, only for Danilho Doekhi to equalize for Udinese after 88 minutes.

The Norwegian found space near the goal line and delivered a powerful cross that Gudmundsson headed into the net.
