KP Approves Rs. 3.23 Billion Development Package

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved a development package worth Rs. 3.23 billion for the Jamrud tehsil in Khyber district. The approved projects encompass various sectors, including roads, healthcare, local governance, infrastructure, and agriculture. The largest share of Rs. 1.494 billion will be utilized for infrastructure development, which includes pipe culverts, footpaths, drains, and model streets.

An additional Rs. 1.43 billion has been allocated for road restoration and construction throughout Jamrud. The government has set aside Rs. 200 million for local government initiatives and Rs. 100 million to enhance 11 health centers in the region. Agriculture will receive Rs. 100 million, which will be used for establishing an olive oil extraction unit.

Furthermore, Rs. 1.5 million has been designated for the solarization of mosques and seminaries. This development package is part of the KP government's ongoing efforts to boost development spending across merged districts. In August, the Provincial Development Working Party approved 26 projects worth over Rs. 130 billion, including road and bridge works in Jamrud, Bara, and Landi Kotal.

The Jamrud package aims to enhance basic infrastructure, public services, and support agriculture and local development in the Khyber district.
