Inquest into the death of Anele Tembe back in CT Magistrate’s Court

An inquest into the death of 22-year-old Anele Tembe is set to commence in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court. The investigation, initially postponed due to the presiding magistrate's unavailability in July, will last for five days. The inquiry aims to clarify the circumstances surrounding Tembe's death, which occurred in April 2021 when she fell from the tenth floor of a hotel in Cape Town.

Tembe was engaged to the late rapper Kiernan "AKA" Forbes. The National Prosecuting Authority has previously stated that no prosecution took place as their investigation was deemed inconclusive. The details of her death have remained unclear, and questions have persisted for several years. Forbes, who passed away in 2023, denied any involvement in her death. Furthermore, Tembe's family has also refuted claims that she exhibited suicidal tendencies.
