Gauff wins but mixed fortunes for home hopes at US Open

Coco Gauff advanced to the fourth round of the US Open, securing a 6-3, 6-4 victory against Spain's Cristina Bucsa. However, home favorites Amanda Anisimova and Madison Keys suffered setbacks. Anisimova lost to China's Zheng Qinwen in straight sets, while Keys, despite leading 5-0 in the third set, ended up losing 1-6, 7-6 (7-3), 7-5.

Gauff, the first American teenager to win the US Open since 1999, is now the form player in women's tennis, having won her last eight WTA Tour-level matches in straight sets. She will face 14th seed Iva Jovic in the next round. Meanwhile, American men's players will compete in five of the eight fourth-round matches, including Ben Shelton, Frances Tiafoe, Tommy Paul, Alex Michelsen, and Learner Tien.
