From Dubai To MP’s Satna: Woman Searches For Husband, Seeks Police Help To Trace Him

Satna, Madhya Pradesh: A woman from Dubai has turned to the Women's Police Station for assistance in finding her husband, Sunil Thakur, who she claims has returned to India and gone missing, reported police on Sunday. Ashwinder Kaur, the woman in question, had been residing with Thakur in Dubai since 2020 and claimed they married on February 23, 2025, at a gurdwara in Jabalpur's Civic Centre area under the witness of relatives.

According to Kaur, Thakur returned to India on July 31, following which she lost all contact with him. She traveled from Dubai and embarked on a search for him in Jabalpur and Satna after discovering that he was staying with his sister in Satna. Kaur alleged that Thakur's family was obstructing her from meeting him and informed her that he did not wish to live with her.

She has sought police support to locate her husband and resolve the situation. Kaur mentioned that she had previously been married but obtained a divorce, and she had informed both families about her earlier marriage before marrying Thakur. DSP Manoj Dixit informed that Kaur has submitted an application at the Women's Police Station and is presently seeking help to locate her husband, having not filed a formal complaint against anyone.

The police have not registered a case so far, classifying the matter as a dispute between the husband and wife at this stage. Authorities reported that they are working on determining Sunil's whereabouts.
