First training programme for Judicial Assistants launched

Doha, Qatar - The Ministry of Justice, in collaboration with the Supreme Judicial Council, has inaugurated a groundbreaking four-month training program designed to cultivate the skills of judicial assistants. The program, which involves 13 participants, aims to bolster the theoretical and practical knowledge of its attendees, thereby enhancing their efficiency and professionalism in future duties.

The curriculum encompasses a wide array of legal and judicial subjects, including provisions from the Family Law, the Cybercrime Law, various sections of the Penal Code, evidence rules for criminal, civil, and commercial cases, contractual disputes, ownership and possession claims, and criminal procedures and trial principles. It also delves into civil and commercial litigation systems, judicial enforcement practices, judicial values and traditions, and administrative law.

Participants will be equipped with essential skills such as document and case analysis, judgment drafting, understanding of Qatari judicial trends, and procedural mastery in civil and criminal cases and appeals. The program also covers court session management, evidence examination, and verification of the integrity of preliminary investigation procedures.

The initiative underscores the Ministry of Justice and the Supreme Judicial Council's commitment to nurturing national personnel and elevating their legal and judicial expertise. This effort is poised to elevate the overall quality of judicial work and bolster the ongoing advancement of Qatar's justice system.

Upon completion, participants will be evaluated by a joint assessment process conducted by the Ministry of Justice and the Supreme Judicial Council, ensuring the program's efficacy in preparing judicial assistants for their future roles.
