CM Bugti, Nacta chief discuss Balochistan security

Quetta witnessed a significant meeting on Sunday where Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti engaged with National Counter Terrorism Authority (Nacta) National Coordinator Maj Gen Faisal Naseer. The primary focus of their conversation was to address the security situation in the province, counter-terrorism measures, intelligence coordination, and a unified strategy for long-term peace.

During the dialogue, the two parties delved into the collaboration between Nacta and the Balochistan administration in combating terrorism. They also examined avenues to bolster the capabilities of law-enforcement agencies and strengthen coordination and mutual assistance to effectively curb terrorism. CM Bugti commended Maj Gen Naseer's commendable contributions to counterterrorism, acknowledging his pivotal role in advancing national security goals.

The meeting reinforced the government's dedication to ramping up counter-terrorism efforts and creating a secure environment for Balochistan's inhabitants. On the preceding day, Field Marshal Asim Munir toured the Quetta Garrison, reiterating that the province's peace, prosperity, and well-being remained the state's top priority. This visit occurred amidst a surge in terrorist activities, with recent attacks in Pishin and Chagai, as well as major counter-terrorism operations in Mastung, Kalat, and Sibi over the past week.
