Civil society organizations in Kenya have announced plans to hold demonstrations in Nairobi on Thursday to protest alleged xenophobia and discrimination against African migrants. The groups claim to have documented instances of physical, verbal, online, and political attacks targeting foreign nationals. If these attacks continue, regardless of form, and if threats against African migrants materialize, the civil society organizations plan to mobilize Kenyans and Africans worldwide to march against xenophobia, oppression, and discrimination.

They intend to present their demands to the Office of the President, urging respect for the rights and dignity of migrants and foreign nationals. The civil society organizations also call upon the East African community, the United Nations, civil society organizations, the workers movement, progressive individuals, and foreigners to join the cause for the respect of all human beings living in Kenya, emphasizing that all human beings are born free and equal.
