Christopher Bell was in rare comedic form after winning the Southern 500

Christopher Bell, the victor of the Southern 500, expressed his elation and gratitude after securing the win. Bell remarked, "It's been too damn long," emphasizing the prolonged wait for this victory. He praised the entire team and the No. 20 car, stating, "All the mechanics. All the pit crew members. They deserve it more than anyone."

Bell also spoke fondly of Darlington as a track he's always wanted to conquer, calling it "the ultimate driver's track." Despite initial doubts about his season, Bell remains optimistic, saying, "We're still in it, baby."

Second place finisher Ty Gibbs acknowledged the challenges of the race, attributing it to the team's starting position. Gibbs stated, "Hopefully we can fix that for next time." He praised the Toyota Camry's performance, saying, "The Toyota Camry was great." While expressing happiness for Bell's win, Gibbs also noted the difficulties faced by his team, saying, "We just missed it a little bit and had some issues happen a little bit."

In third place, Tyler Reddick attributed the race's outcome to track position. Reddick explained, "We just had a little hiccup on the left front on one of those green-flag cycles in Stage 2." He praised the crew for preventing a catastrophic result, saying, "The guys did a great job catching it." Reddick acknowledged the critical nature of the final restart, stating, "We got where it needed to be for that final restart."

He expressed determination to improve, saying, "It was a little tough at the end, but we know where we need to be at the end of this race and years to come." Reddick concluded on a positive note, stating, "Good day for the Chase. Really want to win this race bad and one day we will. It's good to be in contention every year."
