Chiefs coach Da Cruz questions his players’ personality

Fernando da Cruz, the coach of Kaizer Chiefs, has expressed concerns about his team's mental fortitude after a 3-2 victory over Siwelele FC in the Betway Premiership. The match took place at Dobsonville Stadium on Sunday, with Chiefs leading 3-2 at full-time, eventually securing the win thanks to a late goal from Michael N'Guessan.

Despite the win, the coach was dissatisfied with his team's performance, particularly their defensive display after establishing a two-goal lead. Da Cruz noted that Siwelele's comeback left the team uneasy on the field, adding that his side lacked the necessary "personality" to maintain their dominance. He believes Chiefs should have been able to secure the win before halftime after creating multiple scoring opportunities.

The French coach emphasized that the team's shortcomings cannot be solely rectified through tactical adjustments, stressing that the players' mentality and attitude must also improve.
