Chase Elliott, Ryan Blaney rescue stalled 23XI cars at Darlington

On Sunday at the NASCAR Cup race in Darlington, a brief red flag occurred due to light rain. When the race resumed, two cars from the 23XI team, driven by Bubba Wallace and Tyler Reddick, were found dead in the pits. Both drivers were not in danger, as the issue was that their starters were dead and the radio transmission indicated that they could be restarted.

NASCAR did not need to push-start the cars to restore their positions. However, as the No. 45 car was being restarted by driver Chase Elliott, who was directly behind Tyler Reddick in sixth place, the No. 45 team expressed their gratitude to Elliott. Wallace, who was in 10th place with Ryan Blaney in 9th, also had to push his car to restart it, as the Hendrick Motorsports team was concerned about burning up the clutch.

Despite this, both Reddick and Blaney successfully restarted their cars and went on to finish third, fourth, and eighth respectively. Wallace finished in eighth place, while Elliott secured a P8 finish. Christopher Bell emerged victorious, putting him within 12 points of Denny Hamlin's championship lead.
