Cardoso pleased with Sundowns fighting spirit after Arrows win

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso expressed satisfaction with his team's fighting spirit following their hard-fought 2-1 victory over Golden Arrows in a Betway Premiership match at King Zwelithini Stadium. The decisive goal came in the final two minutes, as Teboho Mokoena scored to secure the win for Sundowns. The match initially appeared destined for a draw before Siyanda Ndlovu gave Sundowns the lead in the first half, which was cancelled out by Junior Dion for Arrows later in the game.

Sundowns' new signing Ndlovu's goal proved to be the turning point. Cardoso praised the team's character and resilience, stating that they are building a strong attitude and mental capacity to overcome adversity. He called for greater maturity in tight games, as Arrows fought until the final whistle despite being down by two goals.

Sundowns now sit at the top of the table with 16 points, three clear of Orlando Pirates, who have a game in hand after just six matches. The team is set to face Siwelele FC at Loftus Versfeld in their next match, aiming to extend their winning streak across all competitions.
