At least nine killed in Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon, including two children

At least nine individuals lost their lives, including two infants, and five others sustained injuries following Israeli air strikes near Nabatieh in southern Lebanon, according to Lebanese media reports on Monday. Al Jadeed and Lebanon 24 both published accounts of the incident, with Al Jadeed specifically noting that the fatalities comprised two infants and that one strike targeted a residential building.

Rescue efforts continued throughout the night, employing heavy machinery to excavate debris and locate further victims. An-Nahar, a Lebanese newspaper, described the night as particularly challenging in the Nabatieh district, adding that the strikes extended beyond Kfar Roummane. The newspaper reported additional strikes in Nabatieh al-Fawqa, Arab Salim, and Jabal al-Rafi, alongside Israeli activity in Zawtar al-Sharqiyah.

On Sunday, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) conducted multiple rounds of strikes in southern Lebanon, targeting Hezbollah's weapons storage facilities, terrorist infrastructure, and a command center situated in a building previously used as a hospital. The IDF emphasized that Hezbollah operatives had been recently observed utilizing these locations.

Earlier in the day, Lebanon's Health Ministry reported that at least four casualties and 20 wounded resulted from the strikes.
