Al-Kheraiji attends Arab League ministerial session and session on Jerusalem in Cairo

CAIRO — Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Waleed Al-Kheraiji, representing Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, participated in the 166th ordinary session of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level in Cairo on Monday. The assembly, convened at the Arab League General Secretariat headquarters, evaluated the advancements in collective Arab endeavors and strategies to bolster its frameworks to address member nations' and their citizens' expectations.

Furthermore, the discussion centered on the significance of bolstering Arab cooperation to curb Israeli infringements in the occupied Palestinian territories, alongside Iran's hostile actions against several Arab states, resulting in civilian casualties and damage to crucial facilities. The deliberations also encompassed global and regional events, such as the security of international waterways and the normalization of maritime navigation, the urgency for the Strait of Hormuz to revert to its regular state, and initiatives to fortify security and stability across the region.

During the session, Al-Kheraiji also attended a meeting of the Ministerial Committee, responsible for tackling Israeli policies and actions in the Palestinian city of Jerusalem. The committee deliberated on enhancing joint Arab initiatives to halt Israeli harassment and attacks on Jerusalem and the occupied territories, and addressing Israel's expansionist policies, settlement constructions, and population displacements, all of which contravene international regulations.
