Police have contacted one of the mountain guides with the group and will send in rescuers.
Six individuals, comprising four family members and two mountain guides, who embarked on a hiking expedition between Kelantan and Perak forests, have been confirmed to be safe after being reported missing. Gerik police chief Abdul Samad Othman disclosed that the rescuers would reach the hikers via helicopter, as reported by Buletin TV3.
According to Gua Musang police chief Sik Choon Foo, the four family members and two guides entered the forest via Pos Dakoh in Lojing on August 29 but failed to exit through Pos Kemar, Perak, on the scheduled date of September 3.
