12 sudah didakwa dalam kes gengsterisme di Shah Alam

Selangor Police Chief Shazeli Kahar announced the arrest of 12 local men in relation to two separate gang-related incidents in Shah Alam, resulting in one death and one injury. The special operations took place between August 14 and August 28 across various locations in Selangor and Johor, leading to the arrest of men aged between 23 and 46 years.

Of the total, eight men were charged under Section 302 read with Section 149 of the Penal Code for the death in Taman Alam Megah, while four were charged under Section 148 for the injury in Sri Muda. Shazeli also mentioned that some suspects have been released due to lack of evidence and relevant exhibits during a press briefing at IPK Selangor.

He stated that 10 more suspects are still being sought for both cases, with seven for the death case and three for the injury case. The investigation revealed that both incidents were not related, but police believe there is an element of gangsterism involved in both. In the Taman Alam Megah case, a 23-year-old man died after a brawl involving a group of men in Jalan Mandolin on August 25.

Previously, police had clarified that the incident also involved an altercation, as a Perodua Alza blue car had rammed into one of the individuals involved, causing his death. On September 4, eight men, including two brothers, were charged in Shah Alam Magistrate Court for the murder of the 23-year-old man. In the Sri Muda case, a 38-year-old local man sustained severe injuries after allegedly being stabbed with a knife near an oil station on Jalan Bukit Kemuning on August 13. Police said two attackers also used objects resembling pistols.
