100% AI로 만든 90분 SF영화…제작비 10억, 6개월 만에 완성

A 90-minute science fiction film titled 'Steel Lee' was produced entirely using 100% AI technology, with a production cost of 10 billion won and a completion time of six months. The film was unveiled at a press conference in Seoul's Yongsan district, attended by National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence Council member Mr. Hong Jeong-woo.

'Steel Lee' tells the story of a human artificial intelligence robot threatening the human race, with the protagonist's son battling the AI in a steel suit. Despite being an SF blockbuster, the film stands out due to its all-AI production, which slashed costs and shortened the timeline. The film's creators utilized generation AI tools to create up to 15-second video segments at a time, seamlessly stitching them together for the final product.

However, the film's flaws include noticeable inconsistencies in image quality and abrupt scene transitions, despite the AI's ability to generate highly realistic visuals. The production team also highlighted the importance of addressing copyright issues and the need for a balanced structure in the industry to ensure all parties benefit from AI advancements.
