Witkoff and Kushner to bring Putin’s views into upcoming Kyiv talks

According to Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov, U.S. President Donald Trump's special representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner plan to incorporate Russian President Vladimir Putin's perspectives on ending the conflict into their upcoming negotiations in Kyiv. The three-hour and ten-minute meeting, held with the U.S. delegation in Moscow, was described as "substantive, constructive and frank" by the Russian side.

While the substance of the discussions remains undisclosed, Ushakov confirmed that both Russia and the United States formulated ideas on potential ways to bring an end to the war. Witkoff and Kushner assured that Putin's assessments will be considered during the negotiations in Kyiv. The Kremlin acknowledged the usefulness of the meeting and stated that contacts between Russian President Putin and U.S. President Trump will persist. However, there is no independent confirmation of Ushakov's account from the U.S. delegation.
