Why has PCB confiscated players’ phones ahead of third Test?

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has reportedly seized the mobile phones of several cricketers ahead of the third Test in London, according to media reports. This move comes shortly after the PCB altered the Pakistan Test squad following their 194-run loss to England at Lord’s. The investigation has added to the uncertainty surrounding the team, which has already faced pressure after losing the first two Tests of the series.

Seven players were previously released from the touring squad, and the coaching staff also underwent changes with the appointment of Mike Hesson and Ashley Noffke as replacements for Sarfaraz Ahmed and Umar Gul. The confiscated phones are set to stay in the PCB's possession until the conclusion of the third Test at Edgbaston on September 9.
