Iran has vehemently condemned the United States for launching attacks on its commercial vessels, branding the actions as war crimes under international law. The country's Foreign Ministry released a statement, expressing strong disapproval of the aggressive US military strikes. Tehran characterized the assaults as part of a broader US military campaign and an "economic war" targeting Iran.

The ministry asserted that these attacks contravened the UN Charter and posed a threat to international peace, security, and maritime trade. They vowed to staunchly protect their sovereignty and national interests against the US aggression, state-sponsored terrorism, the ongoing blockade, and the harassment of commercial ships. The ministry further warned that Washington and its allies would bear the responsibility for any repercussions stemming from continued US "aggressive and interventionist actions" within the region.
