Thriston Lawrence rallies from 6 behind and beats Paul Casey in a playoff in Switzerland

Crans Montana, Switzerland (AP) — South African golfer Thriston Lawrence battled back from a six-stroke deficit on Sunday to win the European Masters, denying Paul Casey his first victory in five years. Lawrence secured the win by making an 18-foot birdie putt on the fourth playoff hole. This was Lawrence's third European Masters title in the last five years. Casey, the race leader for much of the tournament, had four opportunities to win on the 18th green, but ultimately fell short.
