‘Things written in air’: Govinda takes a veiled jibe at Sunita Ahuja amid feud over affair claims

Mumbai-based actor Govinda made cryptic remarks at a 'dahi handi' event on Saturday evening, hinting at his ongoing public feud with his wife of 39 years, Sunita Ahuja. Sunita had accused Govinda of having an affair with Komal Rani Swarnkar, the co-actor of his upcoming film Roopa. The couple also went through a divorce process in 2024, with Sunita filing the petition in December and withdrawing it on August 19.

During a press conference, Govinda addressed the rumors surrounding his marriage, stating that he would soon clear up several issues and promised to make everything right. He appealed to his fans, expressing gratitude for their unwavering support over the years and requesting continued backing as he works towards resolving the matter. The 62-year-old actor did not directly address Sunita or the specific incident in question but urged them to resolve their disputes in private, hoping for a swift resolution.

Sunita Ahuja had recently been spotted with her son, Yashvardhan Ahuja, outside a Bandra family court, suggesting that the personal conflict had resurfaced. Her divorce petition in 2024 was based on allegations of adultery, cruelty, and desertion. Govinda and Sunita, who had a secret marriage back in 1987, have two children together, Tina Ahuja (37) and Yashvardhan Ahuja (29).
