Super League: Filipino Tabinas saves 10-man Selangor

In a dramatic Super League match at MBPJ Stadium, ten-man Selangor staged a remarkable comeback to defeat Melaka 3-2 on Sunday. The Red Giants began the game strongly, with Brazilian striker Chrigor Moraes putting them ahead in the 11th minute with a well-placed header. However, Selangor were plagued by trouble just before halftime when Dutch forward Kay Tejan was sent off for a second yellow card, leaving them with 10 players.

Despite being a man down, Selangor extended their lead six minutes after the restart, courtesy of Chrigor Moraes' second goal of the match. Melaka attempted to cut the deficit in the 59th minute, with Syahir Abdul Rashid equalizing. The contest remained tightly contested until the closing stages, when South Korean striker Do Dong-hyun leveled the score for Selangor in the 75th minute.

With just two minutes left on the clock, in stoppage time, midfielder Nooa Laine found Filipino defender Jefferson Tabinas with a pinpoint pass. The ten-man Selangor defender was not fazed and demonstrated remarkable composure to slot the ball past the helpless veteran Melaka goalkeeper, Khairul Fahmi Che Mat, securing the three points for the Red Giants.
