Shaw double leads Man City to victory over Birmingham

Birmingham City and Wolverhampton Wanderers contested an exciting derby match which ended in a 2-2 draw. The game kicked off with Wolves taking the lead just over three minutes into the match. Rodrigo Gomes capitalized on a low cross from the right, allowing Fer López to finish the goal from close range.

However, the score quickly shifted back to Birmingham as Patrick Roberts delivered a pass that Jay Stansfield controlled before scoring into the net. Wolves regained the lead five minutes into the second half when Ladislav Krejci headed in after a corner taken from the left.

Just five minutes later, the game was back to being level again. This time, the goal was scored through an own goal by Jackson Tchatchoua. His attempted back pass had too much on it, resulting in the ball going into his own net instead.

Both teams had chances to push for a winner in the second half. Adam Armstrong missed a crucial opportunity late in the game, but despite that, the match ended in a draw. In terms of standings, Wolves finished the day ninth in the Championship and stayed ahead of Birmingham by just one point.
