Sargent records his 1st career hat trick as Toronto FC rallies to tie the Fire 4-4

In a tightly contested match, Toronto FC managed to secure a 4-4 draw against the Chicago Fire on Saturday night. Derrick Etienne Jr. scored the tying goal in second-half stoppage time, while Josh Sargent achieved a milestone by recording his first career hat trick. Sargent's first goal came in the 27th minute, followed by a 2-1 lead for Toronto nine minutes later.

He broke a 2-all tie in the 54th minute, marking his first hat trick since Federico Bernardeschi's performance against Montreal on May 18, 2024. However, a combination of defensive lapses allowed Chicago to reclaim the lead. Haile-Selassie added a second goal for Chicago shortly after Luka Gavran's save, and Robert Lewandowski scored his first professional match in Canada, making it 4-3 for Chicago. Toronto FC will face Nashville on Wednesday.
